Sighs of relief can be heard all across Texas this week…

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) announced today they will postpone moving nursing facility residents into STAR+PLUS Medicaid managed care until Mar. 1, 2015. The goal is to allow additional time to address the concerns of facilities, residents and other stakeholders.

HHSC pledges to work with stakeholders to manage the transition and will continue hosting their series of information session on Medicaid managed care initiatives. For more information, including FAQs, timelines and maps, visit HHSC’s Medicaid Managed Care Initiatives page.

Rest assured, SimpleCFS™ will continue to support the many changing facets of Texas Medicaid for the nearly 800 Texas facilities that use it. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
