If your facility enrolled in Texas Medicaid before January 1, 2013 and currently renders services through Medicaid (MCO or fee-for-service), you must re-enroll in Texas Medicaid by March 24, 2016 to maintain credentialing with your Medicaid managed care network.

Texas Medicaid must comply with federal regulations that require providers to re-validate their enrollment information every three to five years. In accordance with this mandate, CMS requires states to complete the initial re-enrollment of all providers by March 24, 2016.

This requirement applies to any provider that enrolled in Texas Medicaid before January 1, 2013, and that currently renders services through any of the following:

  • Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs)
  • Dental managed care organizations (DMOs)
  • Traditional fee-for-service Medicaid

How to re-enroll

Call the TMHP Contact Center at 1-800-925-9126, option 2. To be considered fully re-enrolled, you will need to:

  1. Submit a completed re-enrollment application.
  2. Receive a notification from the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) that your application has been approved.

TMHP has recently made several changes to the Provider Enrollment section of the TMHP website to simplify the enrollment process.

Don’t wait

To allow sufficient time for re-enrollment application processing, you should start working on your application now.
