  • Iowa Guidance on Phased Easing of Restrictions for Long-Term Care Facilities was most recently updated on August 10, 2020.  Prior to that, the guidance carried an update of June 30, 2020. The June 30th version contained a category identified as Non-Medically Necessary Trips for each of the 3 phases.  That category has been renamed as Medical Trips Outside the Facility.  Appendix D FAQs remain the same as those in the June 30th version of the guidance.
  • CDC’s Assessing Risk Factors for Severe COVID-19 Illness shows as being updated August 10, 2020.  I’m not certain what’s been updated.  This is a great resource to bookmark and check periodically, especially for assessment purposes.
  • Presentation slides for Transparency: Resident and Family Notification, Department of Health and Other Notifications for the August 13, 2020 National Nursing Home Training session.  The recording should be available next week.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: To provide more options to view these important Nursing Home Trainings, we are moving to an on-demand, pre-recorded format.

The first session, Cohorting Strategies, will be available on this page, August 20th at 4pm ET.

Live Q&A Sessions will be available on a bi-weekly basis to address questions and answers. The first of these hour-long sessions will begin August 27th at 4pm E.T.
