The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) has launched two new web-based Texas PASRR training programs for Texas nursing facilities. The programs cover basic information related to Pre-Admission and Screening Resident Review (PASRR) Level 1 (PL1) and PASRR Evaluation (PE) processes. Each session includes a test and the opportunity to print a certificate upon completion.

PASRR PL1: Back to Basics

This training reviews the PL1 form in a section-by-section manner. Participants will be asked to take notes on a blank PL1 form as they complete the training. At the conclusion of the training, participants will understand how to complete the PASRR Level 1 (PL1) screening form, and will be familiar with the following PL1 topics: Admissions, Transfers, Discharges, and Changes of Ownership (CHOW).

PASRR PE: What Nursing Facilities Need to Know

This training explains the PASRR Evaluation (PE) and how the PE impacts the nursing facility (NF) and the individuals served in the NF. PL1: Back to Basics should be completed as a prerequisite for this training.
