WEBINAR RECORDING:
Wheeling & Walking: Measuring functional outcomes with Section GG
The unjustly reviled Section GG items will soon be even more important for home health agencies. Beginning January 1, 2025, the DC Function Score will replace the Total Normalized Composite (TNC) score in measuring functional improvement in Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), making Section GG the new basis for measuring functional outcomes. Only some of the GG items will directly influence the DC Function score, but all the items will influence the risk adjustment.
Currently, the TNC Self-Care and TNC Mobility are worth 8.75% each of the Total Performance Score. The new DC Function score, including self-care and mobility, will count towards 20% of the score. Now is the time to ramp up your staff’s competency and accuracy for 2025.
Watch this webinar for an explanation of the DC Function score and the GG items directly impacting the score.
After this webinar, you’ll be able to:
- Explain 2025 plans for replacing the TNCs with the DC Function Score.
- Understand which GG items are instrumental in the new outcomes.
- Identify tips and tricks for responding to the GG functional items.
